I did something out of the ordinary this weekend. I went to the fireworks on the Ohio River. I never used to really care about fire works, but these were special.
When I lived in Maryland, they had really nice fireworks every year. I kind of got burned out on them. Seeing them Labor Day weekend, hearing the roar of the crowd, the sound of fog horns, and the smell of diesel fuel was exhilarating.
It was the first time, I had been to the one on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River, and the view was spectacular.
One set of explosions looked almost like Chistmas Tree ornaments floating to the ground. Some people thought they were sky divers. When the lights got almost to the ground, they exploded. It was spectacular. There was also smiley faces.
The picture at the right is just a sample of the beauty and the creativity of Labor Day weekend in Cincinnati Ohio.
