Since beginning this blog, I have mainly not done much writing. I have taught writing and public speaking on the college level. So, if I were teaching a class and showed this photograph to my students, I might ask them to write a poem about it, or a story, or whatever it is that moves them.
For me I would say: This is a tree that I climbed in my parents yard as a child. I remember when I could barely reach the branches, and I would have to stretch to get to the next branch. I loved this tree in the summer time setting under it's green leaves that lovingly held Robin's nests.
This tree has been in my family for three generations. It has been through wind storms, ice, rain, but still stands through it all. Its bark is rougher than its bite. It is magestic an stands tall against the sky like it belongs there proudly.
I hope you will write and share your story with me. I will be posting more of these more often.
