There are days when our creativity wanes, days when we are not curious about anything, days when we are depressed and don't even feel like getting out of bed. We may take a pill, a drink, or shop, overeat to fill in our emptiness.
Then someone or something comes along and gives us hope. For me, I have had all kinds of helpers give me courage. The Robin on the park bench in this picture shows up many times in my life when I am having a difficult day. I have a friend who emails me and picks up my spirits and says keep writing.
There are times when we all need encouragement to continue on our path to creativity and to being curious. Like many things in life, it is a process that takes time and practice. It especially takes patience and being gentle with ourselves. We need to honor that little Robin spirit within ourselves when voices of negativity try to drown out our creativity, curiosity, and courage. Keep your wings strong and give yourself permission to soar!
