I was out taking a walk today thinking about wisdom, and I thought about this pond that made a circle. And I thought about the water. And I also was contemplating the nature and trying to get in touch using my different senses.
I don't know anymore what wisdom is than anyone else. But I do have some things I have discovered after many many mistakes in life. Wisdom often brings us full circle, and if we do not learn a mistake the first time it will come back to teach us the same lesson again. Also, we have to use all of our senses, our intuition, creativity, reflection, knowledge to attain wisdom.
Wisdom is also about taking risks. We have to look beneath the surface of the scum on that water to taste the sweet nectar of life. And even though it does not look like there is much vegatation or life here, beneath the surface new buds are waiting to burst through.
Like this pond, getting to wisdom is not for the faint hearted. It can leave battle scars and bruises. It can also leave us much stronger and better people, and we can discover worlds that we never knew existed. Just take a step into the unknown and trust that it will be ok!
