Indianapolis

As we enter the midway point of March, spring is coming on. Next week is the beginning of Daylight Saving's time which marks the arrival of warm summer months. I took this picture of the Indianapolis canal last June when I was participating in a Creativity workshop at IUPUI with folks I was in graduate school with including my advisor and mentor.
We did painting, druming, film, and several other projects over the summer. It was a wonderful opportunity to work with other creative people. It was also my first chance at really getting out with poeple since I had been sick in 2008. Everyone in the group was great.
I think that we all have a spark of creativity within us. As human beings, we are connected to the divine. Being connected to the divine, we have that same creative spark also within us. We simply need to nurture it.
So many people try to put our spark and light out. I know that my destiny and yours is to keep our light burning brightly as long as we can. That means that we have to feed the flame with good food. Painting, drawing, poetry, drama, singing, dancing sewing, are just some of the ways we can feed our light. Look for what feeds you and makes your light burn bright as the sun.
