I think that it is important for each person to follow their truth no matter what anyone else thinks. Monet never sold a single painting while he was alive, yet he spent almost all of his money buying paint and brushes, and he starved.
I have read about toy makers who no one believed in, yet they continued to hone their craft even though they were mocked and laughed at.
Following your own truth requires great courage. Sometimes your friends, family, and coworkers may disapprove of what you are creating. But we create because we are a part of the divine and that is our calling. We must following our calling. Nothing can stand in our way. A giant oak becomes a tiny twig when we follow our creative calling.
I love this Question Bob "Is productivity as important as creativity?" I've spent the last week worrying because I haven't been writing in my journal or posting on my own blog and in all honesty, what good would it do me to write just because I felt obligated instead of when I was inspired to. I believe I would like answer your question by referring to an old adage that still holds true for me in most aspects of my life "It's quality, not quantity". Thank you for this Blog, I find so much inspiration here and we share a lot of the same insights and values.
